Vehicle Specifications
Description
With us now at RFH Classics we are delighted to offer this exceptional 2016 Land Rover Range Rover 3.0 SDV6 HSE Dynamic Auto, finished in the popular Santorini Black Metallic and complemented by a beautiful Ebony Black Leather interior with Ivory accents. Having covered a low mileage from new and remaining with its original owner throughout, this is a particularly well cared for example of one of Britain's most desirable luxury SUVs. This Range Rover came to us through a returning customer connection.
The late owner had previously entrusted us with the sale of a particularly lovely Healey Sprite and, when his widow contacted us, we were pleased to assist once again. It is always a privilege when previous customers return to us, and this vehicle reflects the same careful ownership and attention that we have come to expect. Supporting the low mileage is a well organised digital service history which we have now arranged into chronological order in one of our RFH History Folders.
The vehicle benefited from a Land Rover Service Plan during its first five years, with servicing thereafter carried out annually by a respected independent Land Rover specialist in nearby Woburn. As part of our preparation, and included within the asking price, the Range Rover will receive a fresh service together with replacement of the timing belts, providing its next owner with additional peace of mind. The exterior presentation is exactly what you would hope to find on a cherished example.
The Santorini Black paintwork retains a deep gloss finish and the bodywork is in exceptional order throughout, clearly demonstrating that the vehicle has been carefully maintained. Completing the appearance are the attractive 21-inch alloy wheels, all fitted with matching Pirelli Scorpion 275/45 R21 tyres which remain in excellent condition with only minimal signs of wear. Inside, the cabin provides exactly the level of luxury expected from a flagship Range Rover.
The Ebony leather upholstery with contrasting Ivory accents creates a sophisticated and inviting environment, while the generous specification includes the desirable Electric Opening Panoramic Glass Sunroof, Privacy Glass, heated electric memory front seats, Meridian premium audio, satellite navigation, dual-zone climate control, front and rear parking sensors with reversing camera, Bluetooth connectivity, cruise control, keyless entry and start, an electrically operated tailgate and a multifunction leather steering wheel. The vehicle is also supplied with two remote keys together with the locking wheel nut key. Mechanically, our initial inspection has been extremely encouraging.
Everything we have tested is operating correctly, including the air suspension, electric panoramic sunroof and electric tailgate, reflecting the careful ownership this Range Rover has clearly enjoyed. Power comes from Land Rover's refined 3.0-litre SDV6 twin-turbocharged diesel engine, producing an impressive 306 bhp together with a substantial 700 Nm of torque. Paired with the superb eight-speed ZF automatic transmission, the combination delivers effortless performance with smooth, almost imperceptible gear changes.
Permanent four-wheel drive, Terrain Response and electronic air suspension combine to give the Range Rover remarkable capability both on and off the road, while still offering the quiet, composed and luxurious driving experience for which these vehicles have become renowned. This HSE Dynamic represents an excellent opportunity to acquire a beautifully maintained, low mileage example of the highly regarded L405 Range Rover. RFH Classics are proud to be Bedfordshire's largest independent classic car dealer with over 35 years' experience supplying carefully selected classic and prestige vehicles that you can buy with confidence.
Backed by an excellent reputation and outstanding customer reviews, we invite you to experience the difference for yourself. While we welcome visitors to our showroom, we kindly ask that you call us first as we are sometimes off-site collecting vehicles. The car is ULEZ compliant and, included within the screen price, is supplied with the benefit of a 3-month warranty.

What to Look For When Buying a Used Range Rover Sport
When inspecting a used Range Rover Sport, pay close attention to the following:
- Service History: Look for a full, documented service history, ideally from a Land Rover specialist or main dealer. These vehicles require specific maintenance.
- Bodywork: Check for dents, scratches, uneven panel gaps, and signs of previous accident repair. Inspect the alloy wheels for kerb damage.
- Interior: Examine the upholstery for wear and tear, especially on the driver's seat. Ensure all electronic features, such as the infotainment system and climate control, are working correctly.
- Engine and Drivetrain: Listen for any unusual noises when the engine is running. Check for leaks under the bonnet. Test the gearbox through all its settings, including low range if applicable.
- Tyres: Ensure tyres are evenly worn and have adequate tread depth.
Running Costs and Common Issues
While a Range Rover Sport offers luxury, be aware of its running costs. Fuel consumption can be high, particularly for V8 models. Insurance premiums may also be considerable. Regular maintenance by qualified technicians is crucial.
Common issues to be aware of, depending on the generation, can include:
- Air suspension problems (leaks, compressor failure)
- Turbocharger issues on diesel engines
- Electrical gremlins (infotainment, sensors)
- DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) regeneration issues if primarily used for short journeys
- Timing chain wear on older petrol V8 models
Thorough pre-purchase inspections by a specialist can help identify potential problems before you buy.
