1973 MG MGB GT 1.8 - Overdrive

New in stock here at RFH Classics we have this 1973 MG BGT 1.8 Coupe finished in Metallic Blue and complete with Black Leather featuring Blue accent piping. This GT has just arrived in part exchange and since arriving has now been MOT tested as part of the pre sale preparation. The car is just a 3 owner from new example that was owned by its former owner for the past 26 years.

Prior to his ownership the car had been the subject of a restoration which appears to have been undertaken with the benefit of an American spec body shell hence the unusual side marker lights. Unfortunately the former owner has not retained any of the cars background paperwork or history which is a shame as the car clearly has been maintained well during his ownership but none the less we feel the price reflects this. The car features a full length sunroof which we have water checked and it has been watertight under these tests.

The sunroof is a nice addition to the interior which features the Black Leather interior trim, the seats have a Blue accent piping feature which is a nice touch. Overall the interior is tidy in clean and tidy condition all the switches work as the6 should. Under the bonnet you have the familiar 1.8 lead free engine which is paired to a fully working Overdrive for 3rd and 4th gears.

The engine bay is presentable but again the price reflects the general overall condition of the car. The car starts well and settles down well to show good oil pressure both when cold and hot. The MOT has no advisories and the car, in our opinion, offers exceptional value for money whether you are looking for a first time classic or seasoned owner.
