Description
The bike specialists, trading standard award winners. Bike ID: #10570 New in at The Bike Specialists, we offer the opportunity to own our latest CCM limited edition motorcycle to arrive with us. The CCM Spitfire "Bobber".
Our example is a 2019 (69) model, numbered 230 of the limited run of just 500 produced worldwide and has covered just 462 miles from new. It is supplied with the leather CCM handbook pack including the owners manual and spare keys. The bike will receive a full service and fresh MOT prior to sale.
The bike has various upgrades which include tan leather seat, tan leather handlebar grips, carbon fenders and white wall tyres. The CCM Bobber features as standard, TIG welded steel trellis frame, Adjustable Marzocchi upside-down forks and black YSS Shock, Low-Slung Dual Exhaust System, Floating tractor-style saddle, Low rear sub-frame making the Bobber the most accessible model in the Spitfire series, Brembo performance brakes and Mid-Position Foot Pegs & Controls providing superior comfort. CCM said of the bike "The Bobber or "Bob-Job" evolved in 1930's America from the "Cut-Down" bikes of the 1920's.
These were stripped back minimalist machines with all accessories removed, a "chopped" rear and a lowered seat height making for a more compact, lighter motorcycle. It was a logical choice then to launch our own version of the Bobber, taking its underpinnings from the lean and lithe Spitfire, a bike as stripped back as a modern road legal bike can be. Don't be deceived by those laid-back looks; like all Spitfires, this bird can fly!" We are a family-owned company who pride ourselves on the quality of our Motorcycles and all of them are carefully chosen, handpicked enthusiast pre-owned examples that are always HPI Clear for your peace of mind.
We offer all the usual Motorcycle Dealer facilities such as Low-rate finance and extended warranties and operate a no pressure environment where you can relax and enjoy good old-fashioned service with a smile. We have just upgraded our Indoor Showroom where you can see Motorcycles you sometimes can only dream of seeing and sometimes, we have to pinch ourselves when we get certain bikes in as we would like to keep them all! We cater for very specialist tastes and can source rare and coveted bikes that we do not have in stock and have lots of contacts throughout the world.

Common Issues to Check
- Corrosion on Exposed Components: Due to its minimalist design, check the visible frame, welds, and engine components for signs of surface rust, especially on bikes used in all weather.
- Electrical Gremlins: Inspect wiring harnesses and connections for any signs of wear or amateur modifications, as bespoke low-volume vehicles can occasionally have minor electrical quirks.
- Specialist Servicing: Ensure a comprehensive service history from a reputable motorcycle garage, ideally one familiar with CCMs, as they require specific knowledge and tools.
- Brake and Suspension Wear: Scrutinise brake pads, discs, and suspension components for excessive wear, given the bike's performance-oriented nature and potential for spirited riding.
- Chain and Sprocket Condition: Thoroughly check the drive chain and sprockets for proper tension, lubrication, and wear, as these are critical for safe and efficient power delivery.
Running Costs
- Fuel Economy: 55 – 65 mpg
- Insurance Group: Group 18
- Servicing: Generally higher than mainstream motorcycles due to specialist parts and labour, typically requiring annual or mileage-based specialist checks.
Which Variant Should I Choose?
- Spitfire (Original): Ideal for those seeking the pure, unadulterated essence of the CCM design, offering a raw and agile riding experience with classic naked bike styling.
- Cafe Racer: Perfect for riders wanting a more aggressive, tucked-in riding position and a distinctive, racy aesthetic with clip-on handlebars and a single seat cowl.
- Flat Tracker: Suited for enthusiasts who appreciate the rugged, urban scrambler look, featuring wider handlebars, higher exhaust, and often more off-road biased tyres for versatility.
- Bobber: Appeals to those desiring a low-slung, stripped-back cruiser style with chunky tyres, a minimalist rear end, and often a single sprung seat for a unique stance.
