We are delighted to be able to offer this iconic Clio 172 2.0 16v Renaultsport for sale. Purchased new from our local Renault dealer and family owned (2 owners) ever since. Initially owned by a local gent and avid car enthusiast to form part of his car collection.
On his deathbed he gifted it to his son, another avid car enthusiast and asked him not to let it fall into the "wrong" hands. Clearly pampered and garaged throughout their ownership this truly exceptional 2001 Clio is a joy to drive. A letter from the last owner outlining his and his late fathers time with the vehicle is available to view in our :Documents" section.
My technician rather aptly described it as being "addictive" and it unquestionably brings a smile to my face every time I drive it. His son stayed away from it in case he ended up buying it for himself. I can totally see where he is coming from as the thought of keeping it had also occurred to me.
I believe this car represents a great investment and I believe they are currently undervalued in the market place. Not dissimilar to other iconic cars of the era such as a Mk1 Golf Gti which would cost at least three times as much and in my opinion are much less fun. A beautiful low mileage example that has been maintained to the highest standards.

This included a cambelt change, new spark plugs and the underside was treated with Lanoguard to protect it in the future. (This is available for you to review by request) Other points of interest are that the original exhaust was replaced with a stainless steel one, the air box was upgraded (but the original item is boxed and comes with the vehicle)and lastly we replaced the headlining which had stated to sag with Oe Alcantara. I hate to use the old and overused adage that it needs to be seen to be believed.
