Description
We are excited to bring our very rare low mileage late 2007 Porsche Boxster S 3.4 Sport Edition Manual to the market from within our collection. Only 250 were produced in 2007 & 2008 for the UK market & split between manual & Tiptronic. With only around 150 thought to be in the UK today it represents an exciting prospect for any Porsche Boxster enthusiast!
This example is finished in the iconic Porsche Guards Red against a Grey roof & also benefits from the optional 19" Carrera Classic alloys shod with N rated Pirelli P-Zero tyres & are in a lovely condition. Of course, it's the factory Aero Kit which really gives this car its visual prowess over a standard Boxster. Our example has also now had a full paint enhancement to bring that Guards Red wow factor back!
You'll also get to enjoy a Bose sound system which is optional, but of course you will more than likely just want to enjoy that flat-six symphony from the 3.4 litre engine positioned behind you on a summers day! When originally released it soon became apparent that the Boxster could very much compete with it's bigger 911 brother in the handling department. Of course, the S version configured with a 6-speed manual gearbox & Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) was always going to be the version to have with a power output set at 295 BHP.
It soon transpired that the slight shortfall in power in comparison to the 911 was more than made up for by the incredible agility & poise, the driving experience had not been diluted. This is a true driver's car that now represents incredible value, and a model we have always welcomed into our collection at every opportunity. When you're considering purchasing a vehicle from the GT Sixty-Seven Automotive collection, do it safe in the knowledge that it's an example which has been personally selected by us for its exceptional pedigree.
This example was owned by it's last mature custodian for the past 11 years where it enjoyed a life garaged & was self maintained over its very limited mileage. As part of our extensive preparation we have just had the car serviced and health checked by our most trusted Porsche Specialist - William Hewitt here in Norfolk at a cost of £5007. This included many common areas of recomissioning on a Boxster of this era such as coolant pipes and brake lines and a major service.
Rest assured its an example thats ready to be enjoyed by its new owner this summer, and beyond thanks to our preparation. The fabric roof is also in great shape & has just been re water proofed. All of our vehicles are supplied with a minimum 6-month comprehensive warranty & 12 months MOT as standard; we are also able offer continuing peace of mind past this point with our superb extended warranty packages.
For our clients wanting to maintain those ultimate showroom looks then we can offer exclusive pricing for the highest quality ceramic coating packages available, alongside underbody corrosion protection to help future proof your investment. The viewing of this vehicle is by an appointment basis only; this is to ensure we can give you our undivided attention in a very relaxed setting. The new custodian of this sensational rare German Sports Car will also have the opportunity to enjoy it to its full potential, thanks to a membership with our driver's club - Club GT350, we host members only driving events across the UK & Europe.
Live the ride, drive the life in 2026!
About the Porsche Boxster
The Porsche Boxster is a quintessential mid-engine, two-seater convertible sports car, renowned for its exceptional handling, engaging driving experience, and distinctive flat-six engine (on most models). It embodies the spirit of open-top motoring with premium German engineering, appealing to enthusiasts and drivers seeking a pure, visceral connection with the road. In the UK, the Boxster has long been celebrated as an accessible entry point into Porsche ownership, consistently earning a reputation as a fantastic driver's car with strong residual values.
Why Buy a Used Porsche Boxster?
- **Exceptional Driving Dynamics:** Thanks to its mid-engine layout, the Boxster offers near-perfect weight distribution, resulting in sublime handling, balance, and an incredibly engaging drive that few rivals can match.
- **Accessible Porsche Ownership:** Buying used allows you to experience Porsche's renowned engineering, build quality, and prestigious badge at a significantly more attainable price point than a new model.
- **Timeless Design:** The Boxster's sleek, athletic lines have aged gracefully across its generations, ensuring it remains a stylish and desirable sports car that turns heads.
- **Strong Residual Values:** While depreciation hits new cars hard, used Boxsters tend to hold their value relatively well compared to many performance rivals, making them a sensible investment in driving pleasure.

Common Issues to Check
- Intermediate Shaft (IMS) Bearing: Predominantly a concern for 986 and early 987 models (up to around 2005), failure can lead to catastrophic engine damage. Check for proof of preventative replacement or remediation in the service history.
- Rear Main Seal (RMS) Leaks: Can affect various generations, often presenting as minor oil leaks. While not always critical, it's worth inspecting and can be an expensive fix if significant.
- Clogged Radiators/AC Condensers: Due to their low mounting position, the front radiators and AC condensers can accumulate leaves and road debris, leading to reduced cooling efficiency or air conditioning issues.
- Convertible Roof Mechanism: The electric hood mechanism can suffer from wear to its motors, cables, or sensors over time, leading to slow or non-operational roof function.
- Suspension Components: Bushings, top mounts, and shock absorbers can wear, especially on older or higher-mileage examples, leading to knocking noises, vagueness in handling, or a harsh ride.
Running Costs
- Fuel Economy: 24 – 35 mpg (highly dependent on engine size, generation, and driving style, with newer models generally being more efficient).
- Insurance Group: High (typically Group 40-50, reflecting its performance car status, so obtain a quote for your specific circumstances).
- Servicing: Can be costly, particularly at main dealers; independent Porsche specialists offer more competitive rates. Major services are typically due every two years or 20,000 miles.
Which Variant Should I Choose?
- Boxster (Standard): Ideal for those seeking the pure Boxster driving experience without needing the ultimate power, offering an excellent balance of performance and value for money.
- Boxster S: For drivers who crave more outright power and sharper braking, the 'S' models provide a significant performance boost for more spirited driving, often with upgraded features.
- Boxster GTS (981 generation): Represents the ultimate naturally aspirated Boxster, offering enhanced performance, a sportier chassis, and a host of desirable upgrades for the discerning enthusiast.
