Here we have a very rare UK Mitsubishi Evolution X RS JRM360 (Evo X RS) (All Wheel Drive) with Manual Gearbox and RS Rear Differential. Finished in Stunning Frost White with Cobra Carbon Racing Bucket Seats and OMP Harnesses. Registered November 2011 (61 Plate but with a X RS Cherished Number Plate included) just 14,900 miles from new, one of the best left. 3 Owners from New, Previously Sold by JKSC and Owned by Andy our Sales Director. ►Documented UK Specialist service history from new, with a file of receipts - Completed Nov 11 at 200 Miles, Jun 12 at 1,921 Miles, Nov 12 at 4,379 Miles, Nov 13 at 5,927 Miles, Nov 14 at 6,531 Miles, Oct 15 at 9,002 Miles, May 16 at 9,276 Miles and Jun 16 at 9,320 Miles.

The car was then dry stored until Jan 2022 at 13,855 Miles, where we collected it on trailer and had a major full fluid recommissioning service. It had another service in Jul 23 at 14,286 Miles, Sept 24 at 14,672 Miles, May 25 at 14,859 Miles and will be serviced for its new owner. ►This car has always been garaged and SORN in winter, as such the chassis is lovely. It has recently undergone a full chassis Ice blast by Iceblasters UK (Video on their site - April 2025), Dinitrol Chassis and Arch Clear Sealant with Box sections wax oiled and sealed (£1,650) You would be very hard pushed to find a better condition Evo X in any model variant.

Owned previously and currently by Andy (Our sales director) an enthusiast and Evolution aficionado. After owning many 6-9 Models and wanting to try the Evo X, he felt this was the model to have, being the lightweight RS model, a special UK edition with sought after Manual Gearbox. He originally sold the car in 2016, then in 2022 when we were offered the car back from the customer we supplied it too, Andy loved it so much, he bought it back for himself, however now feels it is the time to move onto something different.

Official Mitsubishi UK Imported car, Final variant of the renowned Mitsubishi Evolution, last of the batch of RS models, UK specification Indicator Stalk (on the correct side), MPH Speedometer and Tacho from new, Rear Foglight, UK Warranty and Recalls. Traceable Service history and car checks back to new. JR Motorsport (JRM)/Sumo Power, were the approved Evo X RS Model distributor, taking most to be converted for Rally Cars, they were licenced to make special road cars in various guises.

Around 11 cars were kept aside for road cars, for further improvements at the choice of the customer, such as tuning, roll cage, bucket seat choices. They were all RS models and for previous Evo owners, they are the one to have in any of the models. The Evo X was the final variant of the Evolution, using a lightweight engine block, sat lower, for a better centre of gravity, most were fitted with GSR trim level to modernise the car and give more creature comforts, also mainly offered with the SST Automatic Gearbox.

Sold in FQ300/330/360/400 options and later a FQ440MR. All sharing a 2.0 Turbo Engine with All Wheel Drive. There were no official figures for the RS model, however based on the FQ360 it is 0-62Mph in a mere 4.1 Seconds and a 155 Limited Top Speed.

Taking into account the weight loss, the sub 4 second dash should be achievable. Given the prices of the previous models now, these seem like a bargain to get into a road going Evolution Rally Car. About the Mitsubishi Lancer

The Mitsubishi Lancer is a compact family car that, while perhaps not as common on UK roads as some of its rivals, offers a compelling blend of practicality, reliability, and a subtle sporting appeal thanks to its legendary rally heritage. Available primarily as a four-door saloon, and less commonly as a five-door hatchback in later generations, it appeals to buyers seeking a robust and dependable vehicle that stands out from the crowd without breaking the bank. In the UK market, it's known as a solid, no-nonsense choice for those valuing longevity and good value for money.

Why Buy a Used Mitsubishi Lancer?

  • Proven Reliability: Mitsubishi has a strong reputation for building durable vehicles, and the Lancer is no exception, often providing many years of trouble-free motoring.
  • Excellent Value: Used Lancers typically offer more car for your money compared to similarly aged and specified competitors, making them a smart budget-friendly choice.
  • Distinctive Styling: With its sharp lines and assertive front grille, particularly in the later generations, the Lancer offers a more distinctive look than many mainstream alternatives.
  • Practical and Comfortable: Offering decent boot space and comfortable seating for five, the Lancer serves well as a practical family car or reliable commuter.

Typical Price Range

All prices are approximate and subject to change based on condition, mileage, specification, and market conditions.

  • 2005–2008: £1,500 – £3,000 — At this price point, you'll find older generation models, often with higher mileage, but still offering robust and affordable basic transport.
  • 2009–2012: £3,000 – £5,500 — These models represent the more modern iterations, providing improved refinement and features, making them excellent value for a reliable family car.
  • 2013–2015: £5,000 – £7,500 — The latest standard Lancers available in the UK, offering the best condition, lowest mileage, and most up-to-date specifications.

Common Issues to Check

  • Rust: Pay close attention to wheel arches, sills, and subframes on older models, as some Lancers can be susceptible to corrosion.
  • Suspension Components: Listen for knocks or creaks from the suspension, particularly over bumps, as bushes and shock absorbers can wear over time.
  • Clutch Wear: On manual models, check for a high biting point or slip, indicating a worn clutch, especially if the car has been driven enthusiastically.
  • Brake Condition: Inspect discs and pads for excessive wear or warping, which can manifest as vibrations under braking.
  • CVT Transmission (if fitted): For automatic models, ensure the Continuously Variable Transmission operates smoothly without any jerking, hesitation, or unusual noises.

Running Costs

  • Fuel Economy: 35–45 mpg (depending on engine size and driving style, with diesel models offering higher figures).
  • Insurance Group: 12–22 (for standard models, significantly higher for Ralliart or Evolution variants).
  • Servicing: Generally affordable, with a reputation for straightforward mechanics and readily available parts, making routine maintenance costs manageable.

Which Variant Should I Choose?

  • 1.5 MIVEC Petrol: Ideal for urban driving and those prioritising lower running costs, offering good economy and sufficient power for city life.
  • 1.8 MIVEC Petrol: A popular choice, providing a good balance of performance and economy, suitable for both daily commutes and longer journeys.
  • 2.0 DI-D Diesel: Perfect for high-mileage drivers, offering strong torque and impressive fuel efficiency, particularly on motorways.
  • GS/Juro Trim: These mid-to-high level trims often come well-equipped with features such as climate control, alloy wheels, and improved interior finishes, offering great value.
