Vehicle Specifications
Description
We are very excited to present this absolutely phenomenal example of the Aston Martin V8 Vantage! An iconic car featuring what we believe to be is a spec that's about as good as they get. The colour combination on this car was excellently chosen and suit the Vantage extremely well.
Spec includes: Titanium Silver exterior, Silver Alloys + Silver Brake Calipers, Caspian Blue Leather, Cruise Control, Nav, Parking Sensors (front & rear) + more. Clearly this is a car that has been maintained with no expense spared, evident by its service history. Also the condition both inside and out really speaks for how this car has been looked after.
Please see our in-depth video tour for a thorough look around the paint, interior and also to hear the glorious V8 engine fire up. Huge history with 17 services, 16 of which are at Aston Martin main dealer! The car was sold by Aston Martin Edinburgh only in 2024, and it came with a 12 month Aston Martin warranty at that time.
When sold in 2024, the buyer also opted for Aston Martin's Gtechniq Platinum paint treatment at a cost of £1000. Nearly new Michelin Pilot Sport 5 tyres all around - another testament to the care this special car has received. The brakes are also practically as good as new. 2 keys, all HPI clear.
Coles Auto Collective is a small and friendly family run business, we are genuine car enthusiasts and only supply cars that we would love to drive ourselves! All cars are sourced privately or via PX (none from auctions). Highly rated on Google with over 65 5* reviews!
About the Aston Martin Vantage
The Aston Martin Vantage is a quintessentially British sports car, offering exhilarating performance wrapped in an undeniably elegant package. Spanning multiple generations, from the iconic V8 and V12 models of the 2000s to the sharp, contemporary designs of today, it's known for its engaging driving dynamics and timeless appeal. This grand tourer is perfect for the discerning driver seeking a blend of luxury, power, and genuine sports car feel.
Why Buy a Used Aston Martin Vantage?
- Exceptional build quality and luxurious cabin; Astons hold their value reasonably well, making a used Vantage a smart investment for a luxury sports car.
- Powerful engines deliver thrilling acceleration and an intoxicating exhaust note, particularly the V8 and V12 variants.
- Timeless design ensures the Vantage turns heads wherever it goes, blending classic Aston Martin styling with modern aggression.
- A proper driver's car, offering engaging handling and a connection to the road that many rivals struggle to match, ideal for B-road blasts or grand tours.
Typical Price Range
All prices are approximate and subject to change based on condition, mileage, specification, and market conditions.
- 2005–2012 (VH Generation V8/V12): £35,000 – £85,000 — These earlier models offer entry into Aston Martin ownership, with prices varying significantly based on engine, condition, and mileage. V12 models command a premium.
- 2012–2018 (VH Generation S/GT/N430): £55,000 – £120,000 — Later iterations of the VH platform, such as the V8 Vantage S or V12 Vantage S, offer enhanced performance and updated aesthetics. Limited editions are highly sought after.
- 2018–Present (Current Generation V8): £80,000 – £160,000 — The latest generation, powered exclusively by a Mercedes-AMG derived V8, offers cutting-edge technology and a more modern driving experience. Prices depend on specification and age.
Common Issues to Check
- Previous Generation (VH platform) clutch wear: Manual V8 and V12 models, especially early units, can suffer premature clutch wear, a costly repair to consider during a pre-purchase inspection.
- Infotainment system (VH platform): The older infotainment system can feel dated and may experience glitches. Ensure all functions work as expected.
- Tyre wear: As a powerful sports car, Vantages can be hard on their tyres. Check for even wear and ensure quality rubber is fitted.
- Battery drain: Intermittent battery drain can occur, often due to infrequently used cars or specific electronic modules. Look for evidence of a trickle charger being used.
- Brake condition: High-performance brakes can be expensive to replace. Inspect brake discs and pads for wear, and listen for any unusual noises during a test drive.
Running Costs
- Fuel Economy: 18–25 mpg (V8), 12–18 mpg (V12). Current V8 models typically achieve 20-28 mpg.
- Insurance Group: Typically Group 48-50, reflecting its performance and value. Specialist insurance is highly recommended.
- Servicing: Servicing costs are commensurate with a high-performance luxury car. Main dealer servicing can be costly, but specialist independents often offer more competitive rates for routine maintenance. Always check for a full service history and receipts during purchase. MOT compliance is usually straightforward if maintained correctly.
Which Variant Should I Choose?
- V8 Vantage (VH Generation): Perfect for those seeking a classic Aston Martin experience without the V12's higher running costs. Offers a wonderful blend of performance, luxury, and the iconic V8 growl. Relatively more accessible price-wise, making it a great entry point.
- V12 Vantage (VH Generation): For the ultimate thrill-seeker, the V12 Vantage offers brutal performance and an unparalleled soundtrack. It's a rarer, more intense machine, ideal for collectors or those who demand the very best in Aston Martin's raw power, but be prepared for higher running costs and a potentially stiffer ride.
- V8 Vantage S (VH Generation): A sportier iteration of the V8, with more power, revised suspension, and a sharper dynamic. This variant suits drivers who want a more focused driving experience for B-roads and occasional track days, balancing performance with everyday usability better than the V12.
- Current Generation V8 Vantage (2018–Present): Best for buyers who desire modern technology, a more aggressive design, and contemporary driving dynamics. The Mercedes-AMG sourced V8 engine delivers immense power and torque, coupled with a far more advanced infotainment system and driver aids. It's a more comfortable and refined daily driver than its predecessors, while still offering thrilling performance.
- Vantage Roadster: All generations offer a Convertible (Roadster) option. This suits buyers who want to experience the Aston Martin's engine note and the thrill of open-top motoring. It's perfect for weekend blasts in the British countryside, albeit with a slight compromise on ultimate rigidity compared to the coupé.
