Motorcycle Specifications
Description
The 1190 Adventure produces 150bhp and 92lb-ft from its 1195cc 75 degree V-twin, which makes it one of the most powerful adventure bikes ever built and still quicker than most of what replaced it. The delivery is deceptive. It pulls cleanly from 2,500rpm and is perfectly happy at motorway speeds all day, then gives you genuine superbike acceleration the moment you ask for it.
The electronics are what set this bike apart from its rivals of the period, and this one has the full package. Semi-active WP suspension adjusting damping on the move, with preload settings for solo, solo with luggage and two-up, selectable at a standstill. Four riding modes in Sport, Street, Rain and Offroad, lean-sensitive MSC cornering ABS developed with Bosch, which was genuinely class-leading when it launched, traction control, cruise control and tyre pressure monitoring.
Fully adjustable WP suspension with long travel, Brembo radial monobloc calipers on twin 320mm discs, and a chassis that steers quickly enough to embarrass sports bikes on a twisty road. Seat height is 860mm with a 23 litre tank giving a genuine long-distance range. This example features Remus Hex carbon exhaust which sounds incredible, genuine KTM panniers, Nav Prep, headlight guard, Puig tinted touring screen Powerparts crash bars, Powerparts comfort seat, centre stand, two keys including orange keys and code card, owners manual and service book with a comprehensive history comprising of eight stamps including recent valve clearances.
