2008 BSA GOLD STAR Dbd34 Low Miles

The bike specialists, trading standard award winners. Bike ID: #10651 We are pleased to offer for sale this concors British classic, the BSA Goldstar DBD34. Our "Goldie" is in show condition and was first supplied to a customer in Finland in May 1959 with a view to racing the bike.

The bike remained overseas until it was brought back to the UK in August 2008. The bike then went through a full restoration process with Goldstar Guru Phil Pearson totally rebuilding the engine. Other work carried out included the fitting of an electric start (at a cost of £1,500), RRT 2 close ratio gearbox, GP carb, Lyta fuel tank and Taylor Dom top yoke.

The bikes file includes many receipts and invoices showing parts and invoices running into several thousands of £££ as well as old MOT's and tax discs. Introduced in the late 1930s as a 350cc or 500cc quick road bike and became the quintessential 'Café Racer' developed throughout its life until production ceased in 1963. A chance to own a real British Iconic classic that would sit in any collection as well as a great ride out on a Sunday to those classic bike meetings.
